Recognized by the department head for my contributions and rated highly by my students, one senior noted I was the best professor and best class they had at the university. As a result of my performance, I was offered a six year contract extension over the standard four years. Having had a long professional career prior to returning to academia, I was uniquely prepared to offer a valuable combination of real world experience and fresh perspectives from my graduate studies. Developed the Production Control program and website for Zirmed.com. This was the original application suite used by Zirmed.com in their infancy to allow doctors and dentists to submit, track, and process claims via the internet. Now recognized as a leader in revenue cycle technologies, this led to the construction of two new buildings in downtown Louisville, has provided thousands of people with jobs, and has greatly contributed to the tax revenue of the city. Helped developed the Humana Secured Logons website for Humana – a secure, externally managed, and dynamic menuing application that extended Humana’s existing LDAP functionality and provided controlled access to Humana resources.
