In this unique role I am the face of the company spending large amounts of time in our customers office and interacting with our customer, elected officials and the general public. My role includes onsite scanning of government records including Deeds, Mortgages, Birth, Death and Marriage and other historical records for inclusion in a database for client and public use. I utilize a range of scanners for both high speed, wide format and bound scanning to obtain high quality images. Travel includes long periods away from home sometimes in austere parts of the country. Flexibility is key as I must solve problems on the fly as they inevitably appear. This includes issues with the project plan (omissions, deletions or additions) and weather-related issues, equipment failures and the need to add weeks of time without notice. Customer service and problem solving are key functions. Independence is crucial in this role; maintain expense reports, making travel arrangements including hotel and food. I am required to make sound decisions on my own to complete each project in a timely manner while documenting shortfalls and or omissions in the provided plan. I must work efficiently to maintain the overall schedule with only minor adjustments.
