  As Vice President, Michael Efferson brings over 30 years of information technology (IT) experience to the Quality Forum, Michael has been instrumental in the direction, growth, and adoption of the Louisiana Health Information Exchange (LaHIE). He provides development and oversight in implementation strategies, process, operations, and contract negotiations for LaHIE and related health IT programs and initiatives. Michael has served multiple roles at the Quality Forum, including Project Manager, Implementations Services Manager, Director of Health Information Services, and now Vice President.Prior to joining the Quality Forum, Michael served as an IT and Project manager for General Health System, PHNS/Anthelio. He provided supervision to front-line support personnel to ensure optimum performance and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities included maintaining corporate compliance standards, meeting audit requirements, documenting processes, procedures, and performance. His experience also includes the development of disaster recovery procedures; oversight of data center operations; desktop management; and system engineering.
