Robert Wilson Carter
Dr. Michael Dougherty excels at all aspects of music, especially church music. Although Michael is the associate of our Minister of Music and because Michael has extraordinary skills in preparing and conducting choral ensembles, our Minister of Music has relinquished choir directing duties to Michael while he himself plays the organ. These two wonderful musicians and faithful servants of God reversed their roles, as previously Michael played the organ--very skillfully--and our Minister of Music directed the choir. It takes two special men to abandon egos and combine their gifts with such poise and cooperation. Mentally gifted well above the norm, Michael learns and retains new information with amazing speed and reliability. To top it off Michael is a charming, warm person who wins friends the old-fashioned way and never lets them down. Bob Carter, Chancel Choir Member.
