Mike is one of the smartest guys I know. I give him my highest recommndation. I met him while working at a law firm in 1980, where, as a legal assistant he authored the tax shelter documents that were too complex for their senior associates to handle. I helped get him into JP Morgan as a consultant in the early 1990s, where he buiilt the most complicated piece of middle-office software for the first fixed-income straight-thru processing implementation as part of the STARS project. In the 1994-95 period, he was a participant in the Enterprise Architecture group and co-authored, with me, the 100-page dependability architecture (architectural patterns for reliable applications). He went on to a long stint for Instinet/Reuters/Radianz doing information security work. He's been off on his own for four years, the last two mostly engrossed in his own product development of an Internet Research Assistant. Beyond his demonstrated technical expertise, Mike has great people skills with both technologists and senior business people, is a great writer and does wonderful presentations.

On short notice had to do a security review and documentation to meet FFIEC requirements and pass muster with the CTO of a major affiliated bank. Michael worked with me to get this done and completed the job in a few weeks.
