Daniel St. Clair

Michael is an asset to any team. He brings a great atmosphere with him and helps promote the right culture for group cohesion. He has no issues tackling high risk low fidelity technical problems and is guided to them by his passion for engineering. I'm excited to see where he goes with his career and hope I get to keep influencing him on the way.

The direct view LED market is inhibited by expensive tri-color SMD LEDs with CAPEX intensive and time consuming manufacturing. The move to inexpensive, un-packaged, chip-on-board (CoB) LED displays is inevitable, and SelfArray’s patented technologies are equipped to assemble such micro/mini LEDs into pixel-arrays quickly and inexpensively. Scaling from large video-wall displays down to watch sizes, we enable the direct-view LED display market through our use of selective laser-based transfer techniques and diamagnetic levitation for self assembly.Highlights• Responsible for advancing new core technologies, building business cases, and expanding research in the direct-view LED market space.• Develop and manage $1.25M R&D budget and resourcing plan to ensure delivery of long-term research strategy. To date, secured over $500K in additional funding through supplemental grants.• Establish work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones.• Knowledge of the full value chain, including purchasing/supply management, product development, and manufacturing.
