• Supervises the work of other project managers on the team. Provides training, coaching, and business context. • Builds relationships with clients; seeks an understanding of their business goals and manages their expectations. • Manages and oversees production processes, costs, inventories, and deadlines within established budgets, projections, and schedules. • Develops efficient and cost-effective unit processes • Ensures cost estimates are provided and issues purchase orders. Provides weekly reconciliation of purchase orders/invoices with Finance. • Develops relationships with vendors to ensure timely, cost-effective production that meets company quality standards. • Manages the addition of new vendors to the approved vendor list. • Explores new technologies as they relate to design, production, and project management. • Facilitates communication with international offices and assists them with creative requests. Helps identify opportunities to leverage creative solutions created in the home office by local market group clients. • Maintains the development of the project database. • Works with the Creative Center Director to develop unit objectives, processes, and metrics. • Participates in budget creation, financial outlook reporting, monthly accruals and unit allocations reporting, and unit expense reconciliation. • Provides monthly/quarterly performance reports. • Is the business unit’s Oracle subject matter expert and is the Creative Center primary liaison with Finance • Owns the HBP relationship with the Trademark Office at Harvard University and utilizes the approved vendor list for production of goods carrying the Harvard Business Publishing brand.
