I founded Paper Help! in 2019 as I began assisting my clients by professionally proofreading and editing their literary projects, including argumentative, personal statement, discussion, and literary analysis essays, emails, presentations, reports, collegiate and job applications, entrepreneurial investment inquiries, short stories, and much more. I recently brought these services to the online space via Fiverr, and I still provide them for anyone in need. In this position, I worked as a remote Quality Assurance intern at Haddad & Partners, a digital creative agency. My time during this internship was well-spent as I continuously discovered new love for my passion in proofreading/editing content of various kinds (clients' advertising decks, whitepages, marketing projects, and much more) as well as gained further skill and experience in said passion. Due to my role being fully online, I also strengthened my familiarity with the remote aspects of agency culture, client projects, and beyond. This experience greatly enhanced my proofreading/editing skills and only added to my repertoire of qualifications. Show less

During this paid, hybrid internship hosted by the BLAC program, I was exposed to the marketing world through various lessons, activities, and opportunities given to me by my assigned agency, Response Media. During my time at the company, the employees of each department took me through the overall digital marketing process (specifically emails and web design); they went into deep explanation of their specific roles and welcomed me to shadow them at any time. I had a chance to hone and improve upon my copywriting skills by practicing with the resident copywriter and taking on old projects. In addition to this, I gained serious experience and advancements in video production and editing through the filming of some of the company's important, internal content. Show less

During this twelve-week, remote internship, the BLAC Internship Program introduced my group and I to various experts in the marketing field across multiple positions. Each one presented their area of marketing expertise and taught us the ropes of what they do on a daily basis in understandable detail. In addition to this, we participated in occasional activities that taught us how to promote and advocate for ourselves in a professional environment (for example, an interview space). All of these teachings and events were to help train us for our final project in working on a significant P&G project. During this time, P&G marketing teams briefed us on their national brand's needs and then tasked us with ideating and creating marketing strategies, concepts, and ideas for said brand in groups. My specific role in the group was "Copywriter"; therefore, I was in charge of composing, proofreading, and editing the copy of our presentation. Finally, our groups pitched our creative concepts to highly impressed P&G brand representatives. Overall, my experience with the BLAC Internship Program was life-changing; I gained valuable experience and skills that I will take with me as I continue my career journey. Show less
