Few people are as lucky as I am to have had the pleasure to manage someone as eager, knowledgable, and solicitous as Michael. I hired and managed Michael as a Part-Time Teacher at Epicodus after getting to know him during his time as a student, and he’s exceeded all expectations I’ve set forth. I was particularly impressed by not only the wealth of knowledge that Michael could disseminate to his students (especially in JavaScript and Front-End design), but also his deftness in guiding students through difficult and verbose curricula. He frequently stepped beyond his role to support others, and contributed an immense amount of kindness and caring to our culture and our students. In many of the tough times, I could always count on Michael to warm the room with quick humor and a positive outlook that kept morale high. It’s clear to me that anyone would be gaining an incredibly valuable developer and colleague with Michael on their team – and I know we will miss him dearly.

I worked with Michael at The Good for 12 weeks doing frontend development and A/B testing. During our time together, Michael was an active team participant and helped grow our team's culture, as well as contributed to our developer documentation. As a developer, he was curious, self-motivated, and knew when to stop and ask for input from other team members. Any development team would be lucky to have Michael as a member.
