Michael was a pleasure to work with. Smart, positive, always prepared, usually way ahead. Worked hard, went the extra mile for the client, knew how to get things done, followed through, was a credit to J&M and was invaluable to the owner. I'm sure anyone who's worked with Michael will agree.

Wilderness Firefighter
-
May 1992 - Aug 1992
Summer before my senior year in college I fought seven different wilderness fires throughout California. We were part of a Cal Poly student US Forest Service fire-fighting team. We trained along the Central Coast in wilderness fire suppression techniques including digging fires lines, felling trees, setting backfires, and even rescuing one downed fire-fighting helicopter pilot after he crashed during a Central Coast deployment. This job was the toughest and most physically demanding endeavor I have ever faced. Despite the intense heat, physical and mental exhaustion, and obvious personal danger, it was also the most rewarding. Nothing else matter especially after several 24-hour shifts and sleeping half-way up a burning mountain under the evening stars surrounded by the camaraderie and trust of friends forged during a summer of success and personal growth.
