I am writing this letter to recommend Chef Michael Brunton for your consideration. I had the privilege of working with Chef Michael for a total of 18 years between 2002 and 2020. We first worked together at First Orlando and then again at Ridgecrest Conference where he was Executive Chef at both organizations. During our time working together, Chef Michael proved himself to be an extremely talented Chef, leader and mentor. Chef Michael is by far the best high-volume production Chef I have ever worked with in my 30 plus years in the food service industry. His ability to execute an excellent meal for 10, 100 or over 1,000 guests is second to none. He especially excels is managing multiple events with various service levels and different menus and all of them being on time or even early and all of them at top notch quality. Chef Michael is also an excellent leader. His ability to lead a great team starts with how well he first leads himself, his peers and even leading up to his direct supervisor which is vitally important in the role he serves. His care for his team as professional and individuals shows in how well his team have always appreciated and respected him. His ability to work with and lead individuals from all skill levels and backgrounds is rare gift in this diverse and ever-changing industry. I would say that Chef Michael’s greatest strength is his passion for being a teaching chef. He has always loved to share his experience, skills and knowledge with anyone wanting to learn. Whether it is him personally working with a dishwasher wanting to climb the ranks to prep and then culinary, or freely and joyfully sharing his recipes with other working chefs or even speaking as a keynote and breakout speaker at multiple professional conferences and conventions over the years. Chef Michael is a generous and giving Chef whose love of pouring into others will be his greatest legacy. I would personally recommend Chef Michel for any event and any organization looking for a talented and skilled Chef.
