After nearly eight years of working both for and beside Michael, there is a lot I can say about him as a boss, a coworker, a mentor, and a person. However, one of the things he taught me is to keep it simple, so I am just going to stick to the highlights. Michael believes in getting the job done. He’s one of those people who, if you hand him a round peg and square hole, he will reinvent the pegboard. Even with his strong penchant for honesty, I have never seen him appear daunted in the face of a challenge. Part of that is because he believes in surrounding himself with a strong team, which he allows to flourish by being neither too close, nor too far away. His faith in his team grants him the personal resources to focus on the big picture and see the process as a whole. The other part is just raw talent. He has an instinct for knowing when to turn on the pressure or the charm as needed. These skills allow him to produce one of the business world's most precious commodities; results.

I have worked with Mike for over five years. During that time I have watched him develop from a well rounded District Manager into a top-notch Circulation Manager. He is an incredibly responsible individual that takes pride in his work. He is not only a great sounding board, but he is full of ideas that help take the department new levels. He is detailed oriented and has most definitely mastered the art of successfully multi-tasking. Most recently, his managerial style and his logistical knowledge have been tested daily with the acquisition of other daily newspaper distribution responsibilities. He has managed his team by example and has done an outstanding job helping secure contracts and overseeing these projects.
