Career Quest will draw upwards of 9,000 middle and high school students from West Michigan counties including Kent, Allegan, Barry, Ottawa, Muskegon, and Kalamazoo. Students will experience an interactive, hands-on, informational and inspiring career and college readiness event, unlike any other career event. During this unique experience, students will find out what it’s like to be an RN, foreman, mechanical engineer and more – direct from the professionals who perform these jobs every day. Employers from four industry sectors - Advanced Manufacturing, Construction, Healthcare, and Information Technology - have been working together to brainstorm and produce exciting exhibits within approximately 27,000 square feet of exhibit space within DeVos Place. Imagine heavy equipment, facial recognition software, CPR dummies, and robotic technology.Students attending Career Quest will have a half hour in each industry sector to experience activities relating to the careers of that industry before moving on to the next industry.
