  I worked for Fish.Net, a web development company, for my placement year. I quickly ensured that I understood a completely different set of languages to those I had learnt at university. Throughout this year I had to continually adapt to the needs of the business; learning further languages, giving me a wealth of knowledge in the various languages deployed on the web. Whilst at Fish.Net I worked as part of a team on several large admin systems and E-commerce solutions written in the LAMP language set.
