  Extended previous research on 1D non-interacting fermions to the case of Full Counting Statistics of two coupled systems.Optimized the simulation to scale linearly to several (8+) cores and rewrote portions to make effective use of linear algebra libraries. Achieved a greater than 200x speed up over the basic simulation.The optimization effort allowed several (10 - 20) experiments to be performed over the 4 month period on a commercial-off-the-shelf desktop computer. Previous efforts would have necessitated the use of supercomputers and suffered from a long latency between results.Paper currently pending. Show less
