Worked as a Range Communication System(RCS) technician contracted for support through the United States Army. The RCS system is a terterpol spec digital trunking system developed by EADS and used in many public service roles in Europe. This system is used for Observer controller communications and post wide communications within the Fort Irwin area of operations. Applied comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturers manuals' and similar documentation. Displayed knowledge of malfunction and fault isolation. Performed functional testing consisting of operational and diagnostic checks, corrective maintenance and repair, troubleshooting and replacement of LRUs. Worked alone during swing shifts as required by mission standards set forth by the army. Tracked job work orders using the Maximo software system. Performed preventive maintenance on solar panel sites that controlled various military communication and electrical systems. Responsible for installation and de installation of vehicle communication systems in HUMVEEs and military track vehicles. Reprogrammed all equipment associated with the RCS systems to work in the computer database controlling transmissions. Ensured that all soldiers were trained and supervised in all aspects of their career to include equal opportunity polices, promotion potential and personnel management.
