  Briefed with delivering a new pricing structure for the company’s external alumina sales, in addition to securing replacement natural gas contracts, I stabilised and projected the performance of the business in the aftermath of the GFC. Spearheading all business development and marketing activities, I was responsible for the multi-year alumina sales profile and contract position while overseeing the appraisal program for investment in exploration drilling for the company’s own gas reserves, I managed ~25 employees and engaged with several external facing stakeholders, including global customers and Australian suppliers.• Successfully transitioned all external alumina sales to new pricing structure, securing internal and external approval on pricing mechanisms;• Delivered significant incremental profit over first 6 years while reducing risk, ensuring the sustainability of the business into the future;• Delivered sustainable business performance through re-contracting natural gas requirements in Western Australia, leading all supply negotiations and commercial negotiation strategy.

  Following the grouping of all global sales and marketing teams into one central capability (physical metal management), I held functional responsibility for the primary aluminium metal management for Alcoa’s North American smelting system.
