On a medical mission trip to Honduras (supported by Global Health Outreach), I have been able to function as a circulating nurse in an operating room. With the doctors on the team specializing in orthopedic surgery, I open the sterile equipment for the doctors and manage the cleaning of the instruments afterwards. With this mission trip being every May and November for several years, the team has provided over hundreds of joint replacements at no expense for the poor in Honduras who would otherwise never have been able to have a joint replacement.

Inspiring students to love and enjoy one of my favorite subjects that many people fear, I have been greatly honored to be a mathematics tutor at Oral Roberts University. Beginning in my sophomore year, I have been working with students in upper level math classes including Calculus I, II and III, Differential Equations, Discrete Mathematics, and Linear and Matrix Algebra. Helping fellow students bring their grades up and become excited for mathematics is why it is a great joy and honor to be a tutor for the mathematics community at Oral Roberts University.
