Representing a leadership role in the world's largest student-run philanthropy known as THON: a yearlong effort driven to enhance the lives of children and families impacted by childhood cancer by providing financial and emotional support. THON culminates each year in a 46-hour no sitting, no sleeping dance marathon amassing 16,500 student volunteers and raising millions of dollars each year for Four Diamonds and Penn State Health Children's Hospital. As a Dancer Relations Captain, my responsibilities include: Managing and training 25 student volunteers to best assist 700+ THON dancers in the pursuit of standing and staying awake for 46 straight hours. Interviewing and delegating tasks to all committee members. As well as coordinating events and participation with other volunteers and committees across the THON community.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: communicating with various media outlets, brainstorming new pitch angles, and creating well-written press materials to send out. Worked in coordination with the Family Relations Committee to amplify the inspiring stories of Four Diamonds Families among all THON volunteers as well as various media outlets throughout the year through pitch writing and facilitating interviews.
