During this 3-month UX Design Immersive Course led by industry experts, I completed 4 UX projects while learning and using the tools of the trade. Client Project for Street Stream This startup courier company facilitated simple courier services from Point A to Point B. With users demanding more flexibility (i.e. 1 pickup and 3 drops), new interfaces were needed. We conducted rigorous user research, ideated, prototyped and tested (and tested, and tested) until we created a complete solution for both users and couriers. The Street Stream team we presented to was welcoming of the solution and has discussed the possibility of implementing many parts of our design in the near future. Concept Project for Whole Foods In this exploratory project, two teammates and I designed a mobile solution for Whole Foods. Scenario: the company identified an opportunity to enter the health-tracking mobile arena. Through user interviews we determined the best entry point for Whole Foods could be through a recipe customisation tool. We took the project from A to Z: screener surveys, interviews, competitive analysis, solution ideation to user testing, rapid iteration, and a final clickable prototype. Concept Project for fictional pet store, HappyPaws HappyPaws is the classic “tail” of a local shop facing the big squeeze of giant retailers. The fictional pet store owners outlined their desire to simply be online as a way of serving their existing client base and local community. Following competitive analysis, experience mapping, and user testing, I created an online ecommerce solution to serve the customers and owners of HappyPaws. Exploratory Peer Project, Unplug Routine Setter Following a probing question session, I used an affinity map to identify the root cause of my user’s problems: sticking to a routine. I took this rapid project from nothing to a paper prototype in 4 days, testing and iterating until my paper prototype was mere confetti. Show less
