The University of Melbourne invited me to Australia for three weeks and had me independently create a saltwater wave tank capable of producing a linear density profile. This tank I created is now being used by graduate students to publish unprecedented research on how varying water density may be a critical but overlooked cause of ice loss at the poles. The University of Melbourne has invited me to attend graduate school after seeing my complete project, which may allow me to dive even farther into the major I have always been infatuated with.
