ETAP Modeling and Scenario Simulations
-
Oct 2015 - Mar 2016
Provide ETAP modeling and simulation support for engineering of a GE LM6000 CTG addition to an existing generating station. ETAP support entails modeling of a precise one-line, from the CTG's direct-axis sub-transient reactance down to the lube oil heater cable gauge. Then, load flow, short circuit, transient stability, and arc flash analysis simulations to verify proper design and equipment sizing.

Combustion Turbine Generator MCC reconfiguration
-
Sep 2015 - Oct 2015
This job's scope was the reconfiguration of MCC's in GE's 1970 style CTG's Control Compartment. This reconfiguration will allow more room for work while improving work and arc flash safety. These MCC's consisted of 125VDC, 120VAC, and 480VAC circuitry. My portion of the job was to track down conductor ID's which were unlabeled when the work began and modify existing drawings to correspond to the new MCC configuration.
