Micaela did a tremendous job coordinating the Heroes Club and I received high praise from her direct supervisor about her efforts. I found Micaela very easy to work with, professional, hard-working, and someone willing to go the extra mile to get the job done. Micaela’s work ethic, communication, and leadership skills were top notch. She was a great role model for our other AmeriCorps member’s coordinating their own mentoring programs and I would often suggest new AmeriCorps members give Micaela a call to learn from the best. Micaela was gracious with her time and very helpful to those who were interested in learning from her program. I was so impressed with Micaela’s leadership skills and work ethic that once she finished her second year of AmeriCorps service and was going to continue her education at Western Washington University, I was going to hire her to be my student assistant assisting with the program coordination of various federal grants including the AmeriCorps Retention Project.
