The Arcadian

Co-Founder
-
Feb 2021 - Mar 2022
As of February 2021, we launched The Arcadian to support rural artists in South England, with a particular focus on Dorset and young, marginalised artists. Through our virtual exhibition space, we offer a platform for rural artists to showcase their work and connect with curators, dealers, galleries, and other artists. We also curate exhibition spaces that will take place in the summer to showcase the work of rural artists. As well as this we have a monthly newsletter and we are working on a website for the collective. Both I, and my work partner Siobhan, are highly passionate about curation and rural representation, and hope to create an exciting and modern platform for rural artists working today. Show less

I volunteered for Peequal UK, the UK's first stand-alone women's urinal, at Shambala Festival 2021. Here I worked with a team to promote Peequal's first prototype festival-friendly women's urinal. We engaged with the Shambala public through interviews, a thoughts board, demonstrations and social media updates in order to promote Peequal, increasing both our social media and public engagement.
