The team responsible was involved in the development of the initial version of the HIRA, so there was significant resistance to change. This required technical skills, effective and diplomatic communication skills, and interpersonal skills. I managed to:• Develop and implemented the Improved HIRA process for offshore pipeline risk assessment• Prepare, participate, and develop final report for on-going pipeline risk assessments (HIRAs)• Present a paper on the IHIRA summarizing the project results in the UKOOA international pipeline conference in Amsterdam with more than 100 delegates attending.
