At Intellect (now techUK) I completed the conversion of all physical dedicated servers to a fully-virtualised infrastructure. This entailed all stages of the process including early proof-of-concept planning, project scoping, system design, purchasing, and implementation.During my time at Intellect, a large proportion of my responsibilities moved away from traditional Network Administration roles and more into project management and “DevOps” roles. A significant requirement of the corporate website was to have data fed directly from our in-house SalesLogix CRM system to a dynamic site, so I implemented an integrated CMS, forum and blog, with all user login details, member-company profile pages and various other data coming directly from our databases via a custom synchronisation agent.Significant products either implemented, or worked with vendors to implement, at Intellect included VMware vCentre Infrastructure, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL Server, Sage SalesLogix, Communigator GatorMail and Silverbear Evocos.
