My roles at Riccos included all of the barista tasks of making coffee and keeping the café clean and organised, but quickly it was recognised that I have a knack for making the work flow easier and more helpful for myself and my coworkers. My role after the first month involved tasks that included more administrative responsibilities and making procedures for work flows. Shortly after, I accepted the role of café manager. 8-week internship focused mainly on communication. Here, I developed a visual concept for the online courses that Kirsten offers. I then created videos advertising those courses, working with basic video- and sound editing using mainly iMovie and Audacity. I also quickly got into working with WordPress, doing simple coding and editing already exisiting website entries. Being part of this job meant I had to be ready to work on different projects and be ready to assess what needed to be prioritized. Great experience in planning, structuring and organizing. Show less

As a yoga teacher, I develop and use my skills in planning and structuring. I create original classes each week. Teaching in a fitness center chain means I have to create classes for people with many different levels of experience with yoga and expectations to the practice: I have to embrace a growing group of regular students as well as those casual drop ins and brand new students. This means that planning is only 70% of the class; I have to be open to changing, adding and skipping things I had planned to fit the specific group of people on that day. Show less

SustaIN Festival, formerly Aarhus Sustainability Festival, was a celebration of every aspect of sustainable living. My role as workshop coordinator was to be a middle man between external partners, those who planned and executed the workshops, and the festival. It was in this role that I developed my skills in making contacts with partners and executing meetings - note taking during and later making sure all partners agreed on what was said and understood during the meetings.
