  Research project (2010-2012) is funded by the Academy of Finland. The aim is to analyze processes, through which hip hop culture and rap music have been localized to Finland. How has this originally black, masculine, ghetto culture been able to enter the Finnish context? More specific questions concern the roles of gender, locality, and Finnishness in rap music video productions.
