  Merv, being a technician with the Air Force, was posted to Shearwater in 1992, took one look at the ocean and decided he was home.   My most memorable times in the military were when I was teaching in Borden. This is when I realized I was too much a people person to be working in the confined areas of electronics of a plane.I was also posted to CFB Edmonton from 1983-87 & CFB Shearwater from 1992-94. When I accepted the post to Shearwater, I discovered our countries beautiful East Coast & decided to never leave... I found my HOME.
