Akbal’s artistic research focuses on “Dreams as a Medium of Art”. He assumes the dream as an artistic activity. The reconstruction of dream reality in waking reality -in other words, the veridical transfer of dream elements and content into waking reality- is the main body of this practical and experiential research. His dream research is presented in internationally prestigious scientific conferences like the Regional Conference of International Association for the Study of Dreams 2012 in University of Bern, on th International Forum on Psychomotoric, Performance and Interaction 2012 in Kunstmuseum Stuttgart and Conference on Norbert Wiener in 21st Century of Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) 2014 in Boston, USA.
