Re: Meronie McKenzie To Whom It May Concern: I am writing this reference for Meronie McKenzie, a student of the Jack Welch Management Institute (JWMI) Master of Business Administration program. Meronie was my student enrolled in the JWI 505 Business Communications and Executive Presence course during the Summer 2022 term. Meronie has successfully completed this course with a final grade of Honors / A. For this course, to earn an Honors grade, Meronie displayed a high level of commitment and participation in our class. From the first week of class, she produced the highest quality of work. A graduate-level course requires a higher level of abstract thought in the discipline, specifically with synthesis, analysis, and evaluation. Students must also display an ability to reflect critically on questions of value in the context of the course material; the ability to demonstrate an understanding of the complexity of confounding variables that influence the experiences and problems identified in the business world. The overall goal for students at this level is to be able to creatively apply prior knowledge and skills to produce a new or original aggregate. As well as work towards developing thought leadership. Meronie maintained her high engagement level all during our class. Engagement with her peers as she worked to add value to our learning environment. As a professor, I aim to challenge my students to do their best work and help them learn that they can succeed if they put forth their best effort. She displayed a high level of curiosity as she asked questions, which is what a leader does. Her work was of the utmost quality with integrating credible sources to help support her assertions. This effort displayed the ability to go beyond coursework to conduct research for the inclusion of credible outside sources. The lesson I learned from Meronie is that students set the bar for the class environment and challenge each other to do their best work. Thank you to Meronie for all of the hard work I know she put into our class, even with a very busy professional career. I wish her much success and will do all I can to encourage and support her efforts. I highly recommend Melanie for any professional position she may apply for. You will make the best decision to offer her the opportunity to show you what she is capable of. Sincerely, Dr. Jamie Chesler Jamie.Chesler@JWMI.com (407) 452-2902
