Her responsibilities include the management and preparation of financial statements, analysis of financial statement variances, compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, financial projections and cash management, budgeting and tax compliance, planning for unrelated business income tax, federal and non-federal grant reporting and compliance, and indirect cost rate calculations and submission. She also provides other consulting services including the design and implementation of accounting policies and procedures and investment procedures. Meredith frequently presents financial information at board meetings and works with Boards and/or committees on various issues related to tax-exempt organizations as well as providing annual training to new board members regarding the finance function. She has dealt with mergers of national associations and has designed procedures and controls to eliminate redundancies. She assists tax-exempt organizations with their audit and tax preparation and provides general business consulting relating to meeting registration processes and logistics, procedures and reconciliations. She is well versed in the various different accounting packages in use by the not-for-profit industry and helps clients with accounting system selection, migration or implementation, report writing and training. Meredith works directly with Vault’s Information Technology department and is responsible for Vault’s accounting software including upgrades, maintenance, security protocol and troubleshooting.Meredith graduated from Virginia Tech where she received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
