  • Developed a competitive cheerleading program by growing the team from five cheerleaders to 20-25 cheerleaders in one year. • Set the expectation for academic performance by raising the team grade point average from a 2.49 in 2012 to a 3.75 in 2016 and rising.• Developed a partnership with the Special Olympics to create the first Unified Cheerleading team to Denver Public Schools. Thus creating the most inclusive cheerleading program in the city. • Created a student engagement initiative by sponsoring a school spirit leadership group charged with increasing morale and event attendance through our student club, The Rebellion. • Denver Public School All-Girl Champions 2016.   • Oversee the daily operation of the South High School Future Center; serving a cross-cultural student population that is 35% refugee, 33% Hispanic, 22% African American/black, 28% white and 64% eligible for free or reduced lunch. Our students represent over 65 different countries and speak over 40 different languages. • Advise South High School students in college access programs, college applications, financial aid, scholarships, and various post-secondary programs.• Developed curriculum and implementation of South High School’s advisement program, serving grades 9-12. Facilitate the 12th grade planning team. • Present on an array of topics for senior advisement classes including Scholarships, FAFSA Preparation, College 101, Senior Year Planning, Financial Aid & Career/Technical Pathways. • Host and presented at grade level events each year to educate students and families on the college going process by collaborating with high school counselors and other post-secondary readiness programs. • Managed 5-10 college student volunteers through the Pioneer Leadership Program at the University of Denver who served as mentors to struggling South High seniors. • Coached finalists for selective scholarship programs such as the Daniels Fund and the Boettcher Scholarship Foundation.
