Out of a scale from 1 to 10. Lauren gets a 9.5. Leaving some room for her to improve. Lauren is hard working, considerate and has the ability to grasp difficult technological concepts rather easily. She learns quickly, and works well in teams, or as an individual. Her documentation of processes is superior. Her understanding of langauges is above average. She gets things done, and isn't afraid to try something new. I always tasked Lauren for some of the more difficult systems. It was a priviledge to have her on my team. Thanks Lauren. When are you guys coming back??

Lauren and i worked together on securing Dillard's web applications (java). Her skills as a developer are amongst the best I have worked with but its everything else thats sets her apart from the rest. She is the ultimate team player with a passion for her craft. Committed to not just getting it done but getting it done right. She is an asset to any company and making me mad by leaving :)

I currently work on a team of solution architects on the cutting-edge integration of a variety of tools with fully functional Spring Boot applications to demonstrate company knowledge and skills to potential clients. I am learning a great deal about these tools (Axiomatics, Okta, etc) and am enjoying it! I have also collaborated with a variety of clients in the Department of Defense, Department of Justice, and the Department of Labor to streamline processes, ensure clear requirements, and upgrade technological implementations. For these projects I worked with the low-code entellitrak platform (www.entellitrak.com) to provide customized applications and user experiences in dramatically reduced development time. However, in many of these projects I wasn't just a developer. I also assisted project management with documentation requirements, occasionally led Agile scrums, worked with requirement analysts to ensure clear requirements were provided, and often met directly with my clients to discuss complex processes to ensure I understood what they needed and how they needed it done while covering various alternative scenarios. I also have experience establishing positive client relationships and helping turn troubled projects around. Show less

I worked as a senior developer on a suite of logistical and planning applications for critical equipment purchase, maintenance, and availability for a U.S. government entity within the Department of Defense. I helped lead a substantial development effort to consolidate several related but disparate applications into a single Java application. I assisted with modifying existing application architectures to accommodate new modules and create a more consistent user interface. As part of this effort I helped introduce Maven to the team's technology arsenal for building project modules & the large application EAR. I was also the team SME in technologies including HTML, JavaScript, CSS, UI & graphic design, and application security. Show less

I served as a lead J2EE developer supporting an internal Grants Management application critical to the National Science Foundation's (NSF) mission. I assisted my client in maintaining an existing web application while designing and developing new features. My time at NSF culminated in leading the development effort to redesign a critical piece of the application to be more user friendly and efficient, and it was very well received by the client. I enjoyed working with the client (users and management) to develop new intuitive functionality, incorporate and improve on functionality from legacy applications, and learn new technology and tools to find innovative cost-effective solutions to existing problems. I served as a senior programmer on a team that developed Java-based web applications for company Intranet and Extranet applications. Every day these applications were used by thousands of employees and vendors to access important information for their day-to-day work. Throughout my employment at Dillard's, Inc. the company ranked among the nation's largest fashion apparel and home furnishings retailers with annual revenues exceeding $7.7 billion. In this position I began as a junior J2EE developer supporting critical financial applications widely used by the University's student body. The team also created custom Java applications and websites for clients in areas within the Division of Finance. In my last year of employment here our applications supported over $1 million in transactions for use by the student body as well as critical information management applications for various areas of the Division of Finance. By the end of my employment here I was mentoring and teaching J2EE programming and design principles to the newest developer on the team. Show less

While working in this position I not only maintained the Department's website but also provided general IT software and hardware support to the professors and staff. I also assisted in managing the Department's computer lab and its student workers, and taught brief introductory classes to students on various IT applications used by the Department. I authored several technical instructional guides for a non-technical audience and was the recognized Department expert in the distance education software used at the time. I also served as an advisor on the Department's Technology Committee to help evaluate many potential technologies for use by the Department. Show less
