Mind like a steel trap. Direct yet diplomatic. Tempers her sharp decisiveness with radiant warmth and approachability. Dizzyingly diverse skill set, which skews everyone’s expectations for unfortunate souls following in her footsteps. She can relate to the team and sell to the client. She’s clever, and a keen observer. Between a rock and a hard place, she carved a comfortable perch. You’d be a fool not to hire her, and I was lucky to learn from her and laugh with her for a while.

Melissa and I have worked on numerous development projects together over the last two years. Melissa stands out for me as having the best range of skills necessary to ensure that projects go smoothly. She has the people skills to work with all manner (and any number) of clients and project members. She has the technical understanding needed to properly scope a project, write an effective functional specification, and even identify and resolve some of the technical issues that may arise. Finally, she has the work ethic to put in the time required to meet deadlines. In addition to all the skills mentioned above, Melissa is a joy to work with. She has a quick wit, no ego issues, admits when she needs help or doesn't understand something (which isn't often), and truly cares for those with whom she works. In short, I can't think of anyone else I'd rather have directing a development project in which I'm involved.
