I have know and worked with Melissa as a volunteer for several years at the Von Braun Astronomical Society (VBAS). Melissa is a very bright, balanced, and forthright person. Her skills as educator are exceptional and her dedication to VBAS is unyeilding. She has an unselfish willingness to serve and always gives her best. Her stable principles are positive and she is a breath of fresh air to be around.

Melissa is a most professional and considerate volunteer in the Job Networking Club. The club has over 800 participants who are mostly self-focused and concerned about their own situation, but Melissa is altruistic and dedicated to helping wherever and whoever she can. She has maintained a positive and professional focus which is refreshing and is an encouragement to the job seekers, some who have been searching for work for a year or more. It is a real pleasure to work alongside a volunteer who is more concerned about others than her own situation and is a valuable team member among the relatively few volunteers in the group.
