Melissa is a hard working, high achieving, and delightful colleague to work with. She delivered above and beyond anything I ever asked of her and used her initiative to develop new ideas for our organisation to focus on. She has a natural flare for communications and marketing, but is equally adapt at turning her hand to anything asked of her. She is always first to volunteer to take on additional work and a very quick learner. I would highly recommend Melissa to any employer - especially those looking to bring her into a communications and/or marketing role. We are very sorry to see her go but gained a lot from her insights during her time with us.

I am happy to recommend Melissa’s professional skills and capacity for hard work. She worked as an intern for Business in the Community between October 2009 and March 2010, within my team. Melissa assisted the Integration and Advice Team in supporting and challenging FTSE 250 corporations to act as responsible organizations across BITC’s four impact areas of workplace, marketplace, community and the environment. Specifically, the team deploys a range of analytical tools to advise companies on how to improve commercial and Corporate Responsibility performance. Melissa showed enthusiasm and a positive can-do attitude during her work experience. More than these attributes, she displayed sophistication in building relationships with a range of colleagues, a highly developed commercial awareness, having high personal standards for herself and a strong sense of positive ambition. She is clearly highly capable of working in an autonomous manner in a pressurized work environment and has a clear vision for how her own professional development can coincide with encouraging positive change in society. Please contact me on toby.shillito@lrn.com for any further information - or just hire her. She's great.
