Sealed helps people to make their homes more comfortable and efficient. I bridged the gap between the homeowner and their contractor by scheduling the homeowners with one of several contractors, ranging from Westchester County to Ulster County and throughout Long Island. In this position I: -Spearheaded process improvements in data collection - developed new app in CRM for Energy Companies - designed process for data collection from energy companies to add to the layout for the contact record -Created documentation to assist the contractors in linking their calendar systems with our system, Full Slate. -Trained interns to use our CRM and to process applications for our financial product, HomeAdvance. -Trained interns to navigate both Google Drive and DropBox for consistent file management. -Created customized bills using Adobe Illustrator to send to our customers. -Assisted in the technological upgrades to our systems that ultimately improved the scalability of our processes to account for the large increase in leads. Bob's Discount Furniture was not just affordable furniture, but a place where the guest could feel at ease while shopping, as Bob did not like high pressure sales tactics. Instead, he wanted us to place more emphasis on building relationships with the guests. This process was as follows: -Greeted guests and made them feel comfortable. -Built a relationship with them in order to determine needs and to discuss financing. -Scheduled deliveries of their new furniture. At Clyvanor, we built floor and roof trusses and wall panels. As the go-to person, I: -Ensured the basic operations of the plant were met and that the workers had their punch numbers for the time clock and their safety gear. -Uploaded the quotes into our system so the designers could work on new plans for our customers. -Used MiTek software to create the necessary paper plans for the builders to assemble the trusses in an efficient manner after the job was designed. -Assembled the delivery package for transport, including acquiring wide-load permits so that we could travel legally with large roof trusses. Old Navy was very geared towards serving our customers and I made it my personal goal to make them feel like they were at a small family store. I had my regular customers who sought me out because I remembered their preferences and their needs. Because of my customer service strengths, I frequently trained new employees. For us, knowing how to fold or use a register was not nearly as important as having the right personality to work with a wide range of people. I taught the new employees not only how to fold or where things go, but also how to connect with the customers and build their trust. I was proud of my shipment teams when we were able to bust through an intense shipment day where we received more product than we reasonably had space for. It was not uncommon to bring in 5,000 units (clothes, shoes, scarves, random stuff for the cash register area). I coordinated with the assistant store manager to ensure proper placement in order to comply with store standards. Show less

All of the public schools in Amherst, MA placed an emphasis on inclusivity, and Wildwood Elementary School was no different. At Wildwood, it was not uncommon to see a few extra teachers in a classroom besides the head teacher - often a paraprofessional or two and a translator. My role was to include children with special needs, notably ones who had severe disabilities, and modify their lesson plans so they could achieve success on their terms. I utilized the skills I developed in certification programs to ensure the safety and well being of the students and manage difficult behaviors. Show less

In my first week at UMass, I walked through the campus center and a couple of women were tabling for OITCC. They asked me if I was looking for a job and I said I didn't think I could do that job - they told me to try anyway. I did and quickly became the go-to person for all aspects of that organization. Whether it was training, feedback on technical documentation, website testing, or managing, I had a hand in it. We had 12 locations around campus with over 100 computer classroom consultants.
