My Christian faith, past volunteer experience with this organization, people & office skills, and organizational/multi-tasking abilities have proven to be very helpful in this job position. I do not possess any degrees, but have proven to be a fast learner and have the natural abilities to succeed in this field. I was hired during the busiest time of year (where preparations were being made for the Christmas bell-ringing season). I quickly had to learn how to use the "Register to Ring" website to help schedule shifts for our bell-ringers and enter kettle income data; all of which I've done in each Christmas season since. These tasks are in addition to the day-to-day duties that I'm responsible for year round: donation processing, bank deposits, typing, scanning/copying/printing, coordinating new projects and fundraisers, answering phones, composing letters/emails, recruiting volunteers, volunteer paperwork processing, graphic design, managing/creating/developing/posting social media content, greeting/interacting with donors/clients, logging food pantry visits, and much more! I've also worked on gaining more followers and posting/sharing more content on social media. I create beautiful graphics and content for our events and posts. I am also the one who took the initiative to create our Instagram and Tik Tok accounts. I was the sole employee of this small business and was left in charge when the owners were not present. I had many different duties and responsibilities that required a high level of trust. I opened and closed the store (I had my own key and set the burglar alarm) and I handled and counted the money in the drawer. I also did many other different tasks such as organizing/putting away books, creating and receiving special orders, answering the store phone/calling customers, and tending to customers in the store (which I excelled at; and knew most of my customers by name). I also made the rent invoice for the Bistro that is inside the store and did lots of computer work; primarily in relation to the store's website and handling all of the social media on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. The store didn't have a Twitter or Instagram before I worked there; I created the accounts for them. I used social media to gain followers, capitalize on trending topics in order to integrate them with our products, interact with customers, promote the books, and boost sales. I also managed to generate some success with selling some of the books on Ebay in our personalized store. I started out as the Jewelry Sales Coordinator and had a lot of responsibilities. I ran the register, took special orders, sent and received orders, dealt with paperwork, organized merchandise, repaired watches, and effectively reduced the overstock of jewelry as well as earned the repeat business of customers. I also pierced ears and greatly increased the sales of extra ear car antiseptic; selling it 8 or 9 times out of 10. I moved to the cashier position due to scheduling conflicts and greatly enjoyed working more directly with customers. Many people told me they strongly preferred coming to my register; that they enjoyed my friendliness as well as my ability to ring up their purchases quickly and bag their items correctly. Show less

It was very important to me as a parent to be able to stay home with my children during those early years. I also did some babysitting here and there. Peyton's is a warehouse distribution center for Kroger. I was told, via a headset, what items to pick from a bin. Then, I placed the items into a tote and sent it down the line for inspection before having it packed and shipped to the store. Peyton's is a warehouse distribution center for Kroger. Customer service was always the top priority. I waited on my customers as well as cleared/cleaned tables when they left. I totaled their bills and and operated the cash register as well. I was also responsible for helping to clean the restaurant. Sometimes, I opened or closed the restaurant (depending on my shift). Customer service was always the top priority.
