Melissa's energy and enthusiasm for technology and the opportunity to see around the corner to the implications of new technology put her at the head of a security class that we shared. I was taking the class as part of a employer-funded program and of the many students in the class she is the one that I would have been most anxious to hire had I been in a position to do so. I did not know of Melissa's service in the National Guard until I saw this LinkedIn page but I shouldn't have been surprised. She exhibited the obvious talent that managers look for, the one person on the team who engages the rest of the team, gathers ideas, and readilyand seemingly effortlessly, becomes the de facto team leader.
