Fudem is a non-governmental organization with programs that seek to support the Salvadoran population to improve their visual health conditions to enhance their development. In 30 years, Fudem has received aid and donations from Charity Vision, See International and Vosh from the United States, as well as from the Christofel Blinden Mision in Germany and locally from USAID. More than 7 million consultations have been attended; More than 72,000 surgeries have been performed for cataracts, pterygium, vitrectomies, oculoplastics, among others; 1.6 million children have been served and more than 2.1 million glasses have been delivered. Currently, in Fudem we have nine branches, three social programs that are the heart of our purpose, a clinical laboratory, an optical laboratory with modern equipment of the highest technology and continuous training for all our collaborators.
