  Core Mission Lead Volunteer - Girl Experience/ Safeguarding The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) provides non formal education programs that empower girls and young women to develop their fullest potential as global citizens. With over 10 million members and in 153 countries my role as lead volunteer in the Core Mission area of Girl Experience/ Safeguarding is to coordinate and monitor the capacity building projects and the manage the volunteer teams to help member organisations provide quality programs and experiences in child safe environments. The Girl Experience team is responsible for providing capacity building support to Member organisations to provide quality non formal educational experiences for girls and young women. Girl Experience develops and facilitates international adult learning workshops on non-formal education and child centered approach to learning. The team also designs and develops educational programs such as the World Thinking Day Activity Packs The Child Safeguarding team is responsible for supporting member organisations across the world to strengthen their safeguarding policies and frameworks, processes and procedures. Providing training workshops and resources to build capacity and deliver safe and brave spaces for children and young people participating in Girl Guiding/ Girl Scouting programs.
