I worked with Melissa at Lighthouse Studios in two different projects "Give a Mouse a cookie" and "The Cuphead Show". Melissa is a hard-working person, dedicated and passionate about what she does, always willing to learn, help and collaborate with the rest of the team, creating resources to make teamwork more fluid and easy. She's a talented creative artist, always with a smile and good cheer even in times of stress. It has been a pleasure working on the same team with her, I hope to do it again. I first met Melissa a few years ago, as a storyboard artist on a project (in 3D) that I was supervising. I was immediately impressed by her overflowing talent, her freshness, her remarkable skill in staging and a particular instinct in timing, which is quite rare to find, especially in an artist still in her younger professional time, as she was at the time. She made up for this small lack of experience with a great confidence in her choices, an ability to defend her motivations, but also a great willingness to listen to the teachings and suggestions of the director(s) and supervisor(s). This disposed her to an astonishing quick learning ability, and an equally spectacular artistic and technical evolution. I then had the opportunity to further follow Melissa's career in all these last years, also engaged in very different projects, and in different artistic roles, in particular as Layout Artist, also demonstrating an extraordinary versatility in her approach to animation. In the meantime, her technical, artistic and professional skills have developed and strengthened spectacularly, which makes her one of the most interesting and promising artists that I had the opportunity to meet in my professional history.
