I was first introduced to Melissa as an HR/Staffing intern back in 2015. I then spent the subsequent 3 years working under Melissa as a support employee to the staffing function and eventually a full-time recruiter. Melissa was one of the most instrumental figures for my success as a recruiter to this day. As a thought leader, she taught me the key fundamentals of recruiting including having a marketing/sales approach, relationship building, persistence, and time management. I often used to watch Melissa’s ability to strategically partner with key stakeholders to find top talent and also address market obstacles in a proactive manner. As a result, I’ve adopted some of her style and approach in my professional partnerships as a Talent Acquisition leader now myself.
