On this placement I worked in the main office and gained an understanding of how a business works that is funded via hitting performance targets, i.e. payment by results. I worked with various departments as an admin assistant and this allowed me to develop my communication and organisational skills as I was given tasks which included sourcing and contacting landlords to find suitable community venues where we could deliver the programmes. I also helped to design marketing material that would be used to promote the programme to service users in the community, such as posters. This placement gave me a good understanding of how a business operates and allowed me to develop my business skills, putting what I have learned from my studies into a real life setting. Show less
