Leads Air Force and coalition medical forces providing 24-hour emergency/primary care, flight medicine and medical support services to 6,000 joint and coalition forces. Promotes interoperability with host nation, sister service, and coalition medical teams in support of warfighters conducting overseas contingency operations.

Squadron Superintendent, Surgical Operations

Plans, programs, documents, executes, coordinates, and analyzes fiscal, manpower, doctrine, instruction and equipment requirements in support of operational initiatives. Provides sound advice and recommendations as to appropriate strategies, priorities, resource requirements, and equipment and personnel allocations necessary to accomplish objectives. Executes internal management support services in the areas of program cost monitoring, annual fiscal planning, and development of annual work-plans, for the procedural and relationship aspects of the command. Performs organization structure, workforce utilization, and space utilization for procedural and relationship aspects of the command, to improve the efficiency of internal administrative operations.Establish, revise, or review policies, procedures, mission objectives, and organizational design for the staff, as necessary, to eliminate work problems or barriers to mission accomplishment, promote team building, implement quality improvements, or in response to concerns with regulatory compliance and/or customer requirements. Ensure communications to team members is timely and clear, and creates a team environment that fosters partnership, innovation, and continuous process improvement. Reports and metrics clearly convey status of work, issues needing higher management attention and customer satisfaction. Prepare and deliver oral presentations such as briefings, training sessions, consultations, and strategy sessions with other staff service functions and activities to secure cooperation, resolve controversial matters, and convey information relative to proposed changes in assignments.

Squadron Superintendent, Medical Operations Squadron

Led Tier 2 Medical Group largest squadron as executive leader, dictating medical operations for 5-flights, manning utilization, 256-personnel, and facilitating 133K patient appointments annually. Piloted 18 outpatient/surgical services clinic functions, maximizing access to care for 49K beneficiaries, 24-hour emergency response capabilities and $5.7 M budget utilization. Steered career progression from 5 separate career fields. Served as the commander’s subject matter expert with enlisted Upgrade Training program, supervising documentation, and audit compliance. Served as the Group Surgical Services Functional Manager, coordinated local VA training platform, validating and enforcing Higher Headquarters, Wing, and Group policies, balancing manning and population health management.
