      currently working as a concession supervisor within a busy department store. This role demands high attention to detail with the focus on providing excellent customer service – the prime objective being to ensure brand loyalty and resultant on-going sales. My daily tasks include: recording sales figures and communicating to Area Managers; working towards target sales objectives (which are frequently beaten); processing daily deliveries and security tagging items; merchandising (e.g. maximising the effect of sales displays, pricing, special offers, combining, dressing mannequins etc.). In addition to the above, I am very involved in new product launches ensuring displays are ready in advance of delivery, co-ordinating displays for new designers (such as: Olivia Buckland and Daniella Armstrong).       During this period, I worked as the public face of the tour operator Thomas Cook in Cyprus. The role involves: • Organising and hosting Welcome Meetings for guests; • Meeting guests at the airport; • Handling complaints; • Accompanying guests on excursions; • Resolving problems; • Advising on and selling excursions and arranging car hire for guests; • Relationship management (with local hoteliers and service providers). This was a very responsible role (working both independently and as part of a team) which involved advanced problem solving skills with the ability to find acceptable solutions for guests when they need help/advice – the overall aim being to maintain the good reputation of Thomas Cook. The role also involved developing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the resort and excursions offered so as to ensure that guests are confident in the guidance and information given. In this respect, I regularly exceeded my sales targets and pride myself on giving guests information based on first-hand knowledge and experience. This is something that they value and I know it is the key ingredient that has positively affected my sales performance. The role also involved health and safety and the maintenance of hotel standards and I worked closely with the hotel management to ensure that the high standards set by Thomas Cook were maintained. The over-arching priority for this role was to ensure that the guests enjoy their holiday and that everything ran smoothly for them. I believe that a big part of this is building confidence and my aim was to do this from the moment of first contact with the guest by giving excellent customer service and ensuring that this is what they could expect from me throughout their stay.
