Engagement Manager
-
Jan 2018 - Oct 2020
As an Engagement Manager, I get to perform many roles, including Scrum Master, business analyst, project manager, and software tester. Day to day for an EM would be planning and facilitating Scrum meetings, removing blockers the team comes up against, working with the client to define user stories and acceptance criteria, and user testing the software. In addition, I've also created several software user guides and a user video, participated in sales efforts, and made many process flow documents. Show less

Research Assistant
-
Jan 2015 - Aug 2016
I conducted research under Dr. Brent Seales, chair of the Computer Science Department, on his project EDUCE: Enhanced Digital Unwrapping for Conservation and Exploration. Currently I am writing code to help with testing and quality. In the past I have also tested programs to help the team enhance the programs created by giving suggestions and finding bugs, plus using the programs to get results for the project, such as the text found in Ein Gedi Scrolls. Communications and Children's Ministry Intern
-
May 2016 - Jul 2016
On the communications side, I update our website and mobile app as needed, plus I post on our social media accounts which include Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. I created a posting schedule to continuously promote upcoming events while working to not bombard our followers with posts. In this role I must be in constant communication with other staff members and up to date with details relating to upcoming events. For the children's' ministry position, I assist the director with weekly set-up requirements and help coordinate our summer Vacation Bible School, HH Kidz Kamp. I have created registration forms for kids and volunteers, assigned roles to volunteers based on their skills, designed name tags, and helped create an environment to match our theme. Through this experience, I've gained understanding about how to communicate more effectively and attend to a variety of people's needs. I've also enhanced my multi-tasking skills by learning which processes take longer so I can complete quicker tasks while waiting. Show less
