I had the pleasure of working with Melissa during the 2011 CyberPatriot IV competition. Her knowledge of Information Security and level of professionalism allowed her students to excel during the initial rounds of competition. If I were to mentor a team again, I would definitely want to have Melissa as the coach.

Melissa is a great coach for our FRC team. She has a deep sense of caring for the success of the student members and its mentors. She expects a high level of cooperation between all and will resolve conflicts when needed. She provided many resources to all so this project could be completed by its deadline. Results: A rookie FRC team that won the rookie inspiration award on the first day of competition. Won the Hawaii Regional Championship with its alliance and moved on to be at the FIRST Championship in Saint Louis, MO. It was a great year for the students at Island Pacific Academy.
