On a fully flexible schedule, I integrate library skills and technology while co-teaching with classroom teachers. My media center is completely paperless, we do all of our research and presentations via technology tools such as: Nearpod, Pages, Google Docs, Google Slides, Keynote, and Clips. I maintain a working Makerspace in my media center complete with two working 3D printers and a variety of technology learning opportunities for students (Sphero, Ozobot, Buzzbot coding, Bloxels, Little Bits circuit building, etc.)I am a firm believer in letting students choose their own books to read, not stifling them with levels. Levels are for instruction in the classroom. The library is a place to build lifelong readers.I participate on our School Leadership Team, serve as School Improvement Team chair, and serve as a goal team co-chair. I have attended and completed Apple Vanguard Academy, I am an Apple Teacher and Nearpod Certified Educator. I was recently named the District Media Coordinator of the Year for 2019 - 2020. Show less
